Hello Win Column

On this blog I will talk about the Texas Rangers and Major League Baseball. The title of this blog is a tribute to the late, great Mark Holtz. He was radio play by play announcer for the Texas Rangers from 1982 to 1994. I'll never forget sitting on the patio listening to hundreds of these games during this time with my Dad. He also was their television announcer from 1995 to the beggining of the 1997 season. He had to leave his position due to health issues in 1997 and past away in September of that same year. His signature phrase after every Ranger win was "Hello Win Column," and on his last broadcast May 22, 1997, the Rangers won and the game ended with one last "Hello Win Column." To this day, after every home win, the scoreboard will flash "Hello Win Column"
