The last time the Texas Rangers were 14 games over .500 was in October of 2004. They finished the season 16 games over .500 and in 3rd place in the division behind the Angels and Athletics. There are only 3 Rangers left from that team 5 years ago and they are Michael Young, Hank Blalock, and Frankie Francisco. Amazing to think that nearly the entire roster has been turned, but not surprising that all starting pitching is new. I believe it will still come down to if the Rangers continue to dominate the Angels for the remainder of the season. Season Record 56-42, 1.5 games behind the California Angels if they lose to the Indians.
